The short version. Tinbrook is a single-player puzzle game. It has no account, no sign-in, no ads and nothing to buy. It never asks for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or location. One thing leaves your device, and only if you play the daily case: your score for that day, filed under a random number that is not connected to you. That is the whole of it.
There is no registration, no login and no profile. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, address, contacts, photos, files, microphone input, or location. The game requests exactly one Android permission — internet access — and that is used only for the single feature described in section 3.
There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service, no social login and no third-party tracker of any kind in this app.
Your progress through the campaign, your star ratings, your coin balance, your daily streak, the residents you have identified, your sound and motion settings, and any case you have part-played are all stored only on your phone, in the app's own local storage. None of it is uploaded, backed up to us, or readable by us.
Uninstalling the game deletes all of it permanently. There is no server-side copy to restore from, which is the trade-off for a game that needs no account.
Tinbrook has a case of the day that is the same for every player in the world. When you finish it, so the game can show you how your result compares with everyone else's, it sends four values over an encrypted connection:
That identifier is a randomly generated string. It is not your name, your email, your Google account, your advertising ID, or any hardware or device identifier, and it is not linked to your identity in any way. Its only purpose is to stop one installation from filing the same day's result over and over. You can see it, and ask us to delete everything filed under it — see section 6.
This is optional. If you never play the daily case, or your device is offline, nothing is ever transmitted and the game is completely playable. Every one of the 52 campaign cases works with no network at all.
Daily results are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, who act as our hosting provider. The only data in that table is the four values listed above.
The table is configured so that no individual row can ever be read back — not by another player, not by the app, and not by us through the public interface. The only thing the game can request is an anonymous summary of a whole day, and only once at least ten people have played that day, with unusual scores grouped into a single bucket so that nobody can be picked out of the figures by having an unusual result.
We do not sell this data, share it, or use it for advertising or profiling, because it contains nothing that could be used for any of those things.
Daily results are kept so that a day's comparison figures continue to work for players in later time zones and for anyone catching up. Because a row is only a day number and two small numbers, there is nothing in it that becomes more sensitive with age. You can have your rows removed at any time.
There is no account to close. Everything that describes how you play is on your device, and uninstalling the game removes all of it immediately.
For the daily results held on our server: open Settings in the game, copy the value shown under "Your anonymous ID", and email it to contact@raogy.com. We will delete every row filed under it. That section only appears once you have completed a daily case, because until then there is nothing on the server to delete.
We cannot look that identifier up from our end — as section 4 explains, nothing can read individual rows — so it has to come from your copy of the app. Full step-by-step instructions are on the data deletion page.
Tinbrook contains no advertising, no purchases of any kind, no chat or user-to-user contact, and no collection of personal information. The crimes in it are petty village matters — a changed label, an emptied cash box, unscrewed street lights — with no violence and nobody hurt. It is suitable for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because we do not collect personal information at all.
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase personal data held about you. Because the only thing we hold is an anonymous score filed under a random number, in practice the meaningful right here is erasure, and section 6 describes how to use it. Write to contact@raogy.com for anything else and we will answer.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top will change with it. Because the game collects so little, any change is far more likely to be a clarification than a new kind of collection. The current version is always at raogy.com/tinbrook/privacy.
